This afternoon I’m meeting with our
investment advisor to discuss investing for income, rather than just
retirement.
And the reading this morning was
from Mark 8:14-21. Right after the
miracle of the loaves, the disciplines went fishing. But they forget to bring lunch and they only had one loaf of
bread. When Jesus was teaching them,
they didn’t get what He was saying.
Then….
When
he became aware of this he said to them,
“Why do you conclude that it is because you have no bread?
Do you not yet understand or comprehend?
Are your hearts hardened?
Do you have eyes and not see, ears and not hear?
And do you not remember,
when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand,
how many wicker baskets full of fragments you picked up?”
I’m going to interpret that as: “Relax about
money, J. I’ve got you covered.”
