Knowing specifics can be helpful. I suppose most books just use the generic so that the readers don't feel they have to get one kind.
ReplyDeleteIt really varies. Some books are so full of specifics that you think the author is getting kickbacks and others are completely vague. Some will even describe the specific paper or fabric, like "Martha Stewart's Beach House Sunday Afternoon upholstery fabric" or "Sweet Sally's Lollipop Papercrafting Series." I am most interested in glues and paint--I don't want whatever it is to fall apart or to have the paint flake off!
