Virutal Upcycle Art Show

Here are pics from the Upcycling Art Show in Beatrice that closed on Saturday.   Enjoy!

First, some from some of the other artists:
I think this is one of Nancy Hagler-Vujojic's pieces.  She wasn't sure if the toaster would still work.....
 More after the jump....

Made from macaroni.  Look closely!

Here are all of mine, with descriptions of what they were made of.
~ Some of them you've seen before, and others will be featured in upcoming tutorials. ~

Party Tray Mirror
Unwanted plastic serving tray, mirror, salvaged and left-over beads

Waves of Gold Mirror
Papier mâché, paint, cardboard, mirror

Rocking Around the World Necklace
Papier mâché, paint, stretch cord
I didn’t want to waste the papier mâché left over from making the gold mirror.  Beads were painted with two layers of paint, first green, then blue, and finally were sealed.

Rocking Around the World Earrings
Laundry detergent bottle, paper mâché, paint, old earrings

Tootsie Roll Necklace
Tootsie Roll wrappers, beads, jewelry thread, clasp
I avoid copyright images when making items to sell, but this was just for me.

Not Concrete Bowl
Papier mâché, paint
Paperclip Party Pad
Papier mâché, paint
Something colorful for paperclips, sticky notes, and other office stuff.  The mold was some kind of cooking tin.

Crop Top
T-shirts, cut into strips so as not to use copyrighted images

Tree Mosaic
Discarded frame and glass, discarded cardstock originally used as packing material, Christmas cards, glue, paint
Can you spot the butterfly?

Leftover Paint Painting
Wood, paint
This beat-up, unwanted board from my father’s workshop hangs next to my easel.  I hate to waste paint, so when I’m done for the day, I get rid of any remaining paint by dabbling it on here.  I’ve had it since July 12, 2012 and it keeps getting more colorful.
This painting was purchased by the Beatrice library director, a delightful woman who has passionately devoted herself to the service of the community (and who has led the community in creating a wonderful library).  I told her I would title it "Permission to Play" since it was a place where I just splashed paint wherever I felt like it and didn't plan a thing.

Green, Yellow, and Aqua Notebook
Discarded cardstock originally used as packing material, paper ribbon, used paper, book rings, sealant

Gold and Red Notebook
Discarded cardstock originally used as packing material, Christmas cards, used paper, book rings, sealant

Silver and Blue Notebook
Discarded cardstock originally used as packing material, Christmas cards, used paper, book rings, sealant

Paint Samples Notebook
Discarded cardstock originally used as packing material, paint sample cards with fun paint names, used paper, book rings

Dancing Amid Roses
Discarded shoe, left-over primer, images from seed catalogs, packing material, paint

Tip-Toe through the Daisies
Discarded shoe, left-over primer, packing material, paint

Rubber Band Holder
Magazines, tape, glue

Lavender Clutch
Unwanted jersey, plastic yarn

Dress in Bloom
Three button-down cotton shirts

Why, yes, some items are for sale!  (How ever did you guess?)  Email me at my gmail account (handle: jpariodesigns) if there is anything you are interested in.

Thanks for looking!  Hope you enjoyed the show!
Please link to some of your own upcycled art in the comments if you would like.
