My nephews are awesome!

Here’s some fun with nephews from April.

Alex enjoys soccer:

Conner’s school had an invention fair.  The students were tasked to find solutions to real problems in their own lives.  They even had business cards.  I thought it was really cool.  Conner’s invention was for feeding and entertaining his cat when he was at school (Conner, not the cat).

It was interesting to see what the kids considered to be their problems..... Most were about chores, but not all of them:

Garage Sale

This garage sale is huge.  Let's be honest--it's pretty much totally out of hand.

875 South 34th
Friday -9 am - 8 pm (maybe)
Saturday - 9am-???

Lots of great stuff very, very cheap!  We are in purge mode!

I've joined forces with a former teacher selling lots of stuff and a mom with lots of crafts.

Some items:

LOTS and LOTS of sturdy binders - 10 cents each.

Pillow cases for crafting - a whole bag for $5
New dress form - $75
I really didn't want to sell this--it is a lot of fun.  - $15

Welcome to the 1920s!

These photos from April were too good not to post!

Some friends threw a Murder Mystery dinner party and we had such a great time!  I made my headgear, but the Magician already had the kilt.  He was wearing it when we met, in fact.

30 Days of Flowers: Day 17

Yes, these are glass.  I had to take a second look myself to make sure.

You Might Be A Gamer If...

Recent email from a friend:  That was the whole email.  If you are curious, check out a perennial favorite, Castle Panic: The Wizard's Tower.

So if a flaming Boulder hits a fortify token on a wall in front of a tower, which item is destroyed and which is on fire ?

Lately.....

Someone famous and dead once said, "Only good girls keep diaries.  The bad girls don't have time."  While I hope I'm not a bad girl, I'm starting to think the same thing is true about blogs!  So here's a random catch-all that goes back to, um, April.....

We bought a new tent:
Here's is me, in the tent, while it is raining, eating at our make-shift table.  It rained for at least 12 hours straight, mostly at night.

Visiting our dear friend Anne M. in her beautiful new apartment.
 Hat shopping with Mom....

We planted asparagus for the first time....

Hung out with Arwen.  Check out our matching purses!
